Kuehne+Nagel plans to acquire Eastway Global Forwarding Ltd., a leading provider of aerospace logistics services. The deal will expand Kuehne+Nagel’s global aerospace capabilities and support growth in the fast-developing aviation sector.
Ireland-based Eastway operates in 130 countries and is known for aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support, engine logistics, aviation warehousing, customs brokerage, and full life-cycle services for aircraft leasing companies. The aviation leasing market controls over half of the world’s fleet and is forecast to grow from USD 187 billion in 2024 to USD 565 billion by 2034.
“Kuehne+Nagel gains a proven aerospace logistics leader with a strong client base,” said Yngve Ruud, Executive Board Member for Air Logistics. “This bolt-on acquisition strengthens our global offering and accelerates our aerospace growth strategy.”
Eastway CEO Frank Junior McNamara said combining Eastway’s sector expertise with Kuehne+Nagel’s global scale will create new growth opportunities and expand service capabilities.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of 2025, after which Eastway will operate as a Kuehne+Nagel subsidiary.
