Konecranes has introduced the Konecranes Gottwald ESP.4, the newest and smallest addition to its Generation 6 mobile harbor crane family. Despite its compact size, the ESP.4 delivers versatile handling for containers, bulk materials, and general or project cargo, making it ideal for smaller seaside and river ports.
Jörg Müller, Vice President of Mobile Harbor Cranes at Konecranes, said the ESP.4 offers the maneuverability and flexibility smaller ports need to manage growing cargo volumes.
The crane inherits the proven features of the Generation 6 family, with all-electric operation supported by external power, batteries, and optimized diesel generators. It also comes with smart digital tools and strong lifting performance. The ESP.4 can be deployed on a five-axle rubber-tired chassis, rail-mounted portal, or barge.
Its electric drive supports Konecranes’ Ecolifting roadmap, helping ports reduce emissions and move toward fully electrified or hybrid operations, including future options like hydrogen power.
