Strategic Partnership Strengthens Healthcare Offerings

KLN Logistics Group Limited (KLN; Stock Code 0636.HK) has announced a strategic partnership between its healthcare subsidiary, KLN Medical Limited, and Siemens Healthineers AG (Stock Code SHL.DE), a global leader in medical technology. Under this agreement, KLN Medical will serve as the exclusive distributor for Siemens Healthineers’ Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) products in Hong Kong.

Expanding in the Life Sciences Sector

This collaboration marks a key milestone in KLN Medical’s growth within the life sciences field. The company will manage full agency and distribution services for Siemens Healthineers’ diagnostic solutions. It will focus on professional sales and marketing efforts targeted at hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare providers.

Comprehensive Support and Reliable Logistics

KLN Medical’s in-house engineering team will handle maintenance and repair services to ensure high device performance and minimal downtime. The company’s GDP-compliant logistics and warehousing systems will maintain product integrity while ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

KLN Medical will distribute Siemens Healthineers’ products across hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and laboratories throughout Hong Kong, making advanced diagnostic technologies widely accessible and fully supported throughout their lifecycle.

Leadership Comments

Samuel Lau, Managing Director of Integrated Logistics at KLN, said, “We are honored to partner with Siemens Healthineers, a global leader in diagnostics. This collaboration reflects our commitment to reliable, patient-centered care and timely access to high-quality medical solutions.”

Also, beyond logistics and technical services, KLN Medical will offer local marketing, product training, and clinical outreach to strengthen engagement with frontline healthcare professionals.

Mike Yuen, Head of Hong Kong at Siemens Healthineers, added, “KLN Medical’s strong commercial and technical expertise makes them an ideal partner. Together, we will bring innovative diagnostic solutions to healthcare providers across Hong Kong with efficiency and excellence.”

Enhancing Diagnostic Access and Care Efficiency

Siemens Healthineers’ POCT technologies are already in use across Hong Kong’s major hospitals. These include operating theatres, ICUs, emergency rooms, and cardiology units. Queen Mary Hospital’s certified Chest Pain Center, for instance, uses Siemens systems to shorten treatment times for acute chest pain patients.

Supporting Hong Kong’s Healthcare Vision

Lastly, this partnership strengthens KLN Medical’s role in Hong Kong’s diagnostic ecosystem. It also supports the company’s long-term vision of creating a more efficient, responsive, and patient-focused healthcare system.
