Kalmar TT7 series terminal tractor

Kalmar has introduced its new TT7 series terminal tractor to the European market. The model targets port terminals, yards, distribution centres, and logistics operations.

Kalmar designed the TT7 specifically for European customers. The company re-engineered the tractor based on extensive customer feedback. It features a heavy-duty galvanised steel frame and reinforced axles to improve durability and corrosion resistance. A modular three-section front bumper simplifies maintenance and repairs.

Three models are available at launch:

  • TT770: 70,000 kg GCW with 20,000 kg lifting capacity

  • TT785: 85,000 kg GCW with 28,000 kg lifting capacity

  • TT795: 95,000 kg GCW with 32,000 kg lifting capacity

Kalmar will add a heavy-duty version and a fully electric variant in 2026.

The TT7 cabin focuses on operator safety, visibility, and comfort. It offers one of the widest front windscreens in the sector, large rear windows, and convex mirrors. The cabin includes a digital display, ergonomic controls, adjustable steering column, and a rotatable seat. Improved suspension, air conditioning, and heating enhance working conditions.

Operators can monitor performance through the electronic control system, which provides real-time transmission and hydraulic data. The TT7 also includes LED lighting, a neutral start switch, and a three-point contact system for safer access.

All units come ready for integration with MyKalmar INSIGHT, Kalmar’s performance management platform for data-driven operations.

Thor Brenden, President of Terminal Tractors at Kalmar, said the TT7 will help operators handle demanding cargo operations with greater confidence, combining robustness, efficiency, and ease of maintenance with improved operator comfort.
