Kale Logistics Solutions officially launched the Malaysia Maritime Single Window (MMSW) on 17 February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The implementation of Kale’s MMSW has significantly streamlined vessel processing, reducing turnaround times from up to five days to just a few hours. This efficiency boost is driven by real-time data access and enhanced transparency in service level agreements (SLAs). The system has digitally transformed operations at Port Klang, Malaysia’s largest port, strategically located along the Malacca Strait— the world’s second busiest shipping lane, where 11,000 vessels dock annually.

Future phases of the MMSW project will expand its reach to additional ports across Malaysia while further enhancing its capabilities. Following its initial deployment at Port Klang, the system has been progressively implemented at other federal ports, establishing a digital framework to optimize port cargo operations.

The MMSW is a key component of Kale’s Codex – Port Community System, aimed at fostering paperless trade by digitizing port processes. This initiative enhances operational efficiency, promotes sustainability, and strengthens communication among stakeholders.

“The Ship Clearance System has been a game-changer for us. Transitioning from a manual, time-consuming process to a seamless digital platform has significantly improved efficiency and reduced clearance times – we are proud to be among the first to implement it successfully,” commented Captain Subramaniam, General Manager of Port Klang.
