Julyana Free Zone, the maritime hub at the Port of Benghazi, has taken a major step in digital innovation. It adopted the N4 terminal operating system from Kaleris. The partnership was marked at a signing ceremony during the Kaleris EMEA Customer Summit on October 28, 2025.
General Manager Captain Ahmed Al-Amami leads the modernization effort. “N4 will make our terminal operations smarter, faster, and more reliable,” he said. “It sets new benchmarks for efficiency in Libya and the region.”
Julyana Free Zone teamed up with Integrated Solutions for Ports (ISFP) to implement the system. ISFP, an Egyptian software company, will handle configuration, staff training, and operations rollout. The system is expected to go live in March 2026.
Kirk Knauff, CEO of Kaleris, said the collaboration empowers ports to reach their full potential. N4 will improve vessel turnaround, optimize equipment, provide real-time tracking, and streamline container planning.
The signing ceremony in Dubai included Captain Al-Amami, Eng. Hala El Sheridy, CEO of ISFP, and Mr. Knauff. El Sheridy said the partnership shows a shared commitment to innovation and building smarter, more resilient ports in North Africa.
