JAXPORT added Juan Pablo Acosta Magaña to its Commercial team. He takes on the new role of Director of Cargo Sales for Latin America. Acosta Magaña will boost ties with containerized cargo customers in South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. He focuses on building strong relationships and providing top-tier service to industry decision-makers.
Acosta Magaña brings 20 years of experience in international trade and logistics. He has helped shippers connect to global markets across Latin America. His past roles include sales and customer service at major ocean carriers like Maersk Line, Hamburg Süd, and Hapag-Lloyd. His background in freight forwarding and supply chain optimization gives him deep industry knowledge.
A Venezuela native, Acosta Magaña is fluent in Spanish and English. He earned a Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Florida International University. He also holds a Bachelor’s in International Commerce from Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt.
