Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) has strengthened its charter backlog after its offshore wind subsidiary, IWS Fleet, locked in fresh extensions for its Skywalker-class commissioning service operation vessels.
The company said it has secured a 70-day fixed extension for the IWS Sunwalker, closing a gap in its schedule for early 2026. With the new deal, the Sunwalker now holds firm commitments running into the fourth quarter of 2026.
IWS Fleet has also contracted all available vessel days for the fourth quarter of 2025, and confirmed that every available day in the first half of 2026 is now covered once exercised options and repositioning time are factored in.
The company added it is now in late-stage negotiations for “significant” 2027 charter contracts, signalling strong demand for its purpose-built CSOV fleet.
The Sunwalker — the sixth and final unit in the Skywalker-class series — has seen steady uptake since October, when IWS Fleet secured a 75-day charter that dovetailed neatly into existing commitments starting in early 2026.
Earlier this year, sister vessel IWS Starwalker also extended its run with an existing client, adding a further 90 days of work that will carry it well into the first quarter of 2026, again aligning with future firm commitments.
The Oslo-listed owner said continued exercise of options from repeat clients reflects the market’s confidence in its CSOV design, which is geared toward large offshore wind construction and commissioning campaigns in Europe.
