
Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has delivered UM MINAMI, a 52,000 deadweight ton (DWT) product and chemical tanker, built at Minaminippon Shipbuilding.
Cargo Handling
UM MINAMI can load IMO Type II and III chemical products. Each cargo tank has an independent submerged pump, allowing simultaneous loading of six different types. The tank structure reduces residual oil and improves cleaning efficiency.
Environmental Features
The vessel meets international environmental regulations, including the MARPOL Convention and Ballast Water Management Convention. It exceeds Phase 2 CO2 requirements and anticipates Phase 3 standards. The ship also complies with NOx Tier III regulations and includes ballast water treatment equipment.
High Propulsion Performance
UM MINAMI achieves high efficiency using energy-saving additives, high-performance propellers, and low-friction hull paint.
