IAG Cargo, the air cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has approved SkyCell’s 1500X temperature-controlled containers for use across its network.

The SkyCell 1500X series offers reliable cold chain protection for sensitive shipments such as vaccines and biologics. The containers feature self-charging capabilities in cold environments and can operate independently for up to 270 hours. Runtime can be further extended when used in cold rooms or reefer trucks.

Jordan Kohlbeck, Head of Pharmaceutical at IAG Cargo, said the approval reflects extensive collaboration across the company. “The pharmaceutical industry demands innovative and sustainable solutions. SkyCell allows us to offer customers a full range of approved temperature-controlled packaging that meets the highest standards,” he added.

The containers are designed with sustainability in mind. Their low volumetric weight helps reduce CO2 emissions by up to 50%, and their reusable, repairable design further minimizes environmental impact.

IAG Cargo operates across six continents through hubs in London, Madrid, Dublin, and Barcelona, offering seamless temperature-controlled cargo solutions worldwide.
