HMM is teaming with Dubai’s B International Shipping & Logistics, a BGN group company, to expand LPG shipping revenues.
The new joint venture, HMMB INT Shipping, is based in Singapore with plans to operate two 88,000 cu m VLGCs, which are due for delivery from HD Hyundai in 2027.
HMM previously operated five LPG vessels but suspended business in 2016. It reentered the sector this year, buying three mid-sized LPG carriers with plans to expand its LPG and ammonia fleet to 20 vessels by 2030.
BGN handles approximately 14m tons of LPG annually and operates a fleet of over 40 LPG vessels.
