Angela Titzrath, Chief Executive Officer of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG, will leave her position by December 31, 2025, at the latest.
The decision, reached by mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board, brings to a close her nine-year leadership of the company. Titzrath will remain available to support the transition process through the end of the year.
The search for her successor is already underway.
Her departure marks the conclusion of a strategic phase in which she played a pivotal role in shaping HHLA’s transformation and long-term direction.
Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised her leadership highlighting that her efforts in international expansion, digital transformation, and sustainability have significantly boosted both the competitiveness of the Port of Hamburg and the broader group.
Under her leadership, HHLA invested over half a billion euros in modernising its Hamburg container terminals over the past five years.
The intermodal segment expanded significantly with the full acquisition of rail subsidiary METRANS and the growth of its hinterland network from 10 to 21 terminals. The integration of terminals in Tallinn (Estonia) and Trieste (Italy) further enhanced HHLA’s footprint along vital trade corridors.
Titzrath also initiated the formation of HHLA Next, a central innovation unit aimed at driving future-oriented solutions and boosting the company’s adaptability.
In parallel, the company’s management structure and corporate culture were updated to meet the evolving challenges of the logistics sector.
