Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has expanded its collaboration with Siemens Smart Infrastructure by assuming operational management of the company’s global central warehouse in Nuremberg as of June 1, 2025. The facility functions as a logistics hub for storing and distributing production and commercial goods to locations worldwide.
The partnership builds on more than a decade of cooperation between the two companies, including Hellmann’s management of Siemens Smart Infrastructure’s warehouse in Bor, Czech Republic — a contract recently extended for another five years.
“The takeover of the central logistics site in Nuremberg is a logical step towards further expanding our joint logistics capabilities,” said Sven Markert, Head of Supply Chain Logistics at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. “Hellmann is a strong partner who consistently fulfills our high standards in terms of quality, flexibility, and delivery reliability.”
Volker Sauerborn, Global COO Contract Logistics at Hellmann, added: “With the Nuremberg location, we are not only expanding our warehouse footprint, but also underlining our commitment to reliable, quality-oriented logistics services in the technology sector.”
Hellmann said the Nuremberg site’s proximity to its existing locations enables synergies, flexible staffing, and faster response times in the supply chain. The facility is also certified for secure air freight handling.
