Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) has ordered 14 hybrid straddle carriers from Kalmar for its terminal, Compagnie Nouvelle de Manutentions Portuaires Le Havre (CNMP LH), in France.
The delivery of the port equipment is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
Hapag-Lloyd’s port and terminal operator HGT acquired 60% of the shares in CNMP LH in March 2025. The terminal is located at the Port of Le Havre on the northern coast of France and has an annual container throughput of 400,000 TEUs.
The new hybrid straddle carriers will be the first of their kind deployed at the terminal, and will help CNMP LH reduce local emissions, fuel costs and noise levels.
