Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) and Grupo Empresas Navieras (GEN) have reached an agreement on the ownership structure of Florida International Terminal (FIT).

Following the transaction, Hanseatic Global Terminals will become the sole owner of FIT. GEN participates in the terminal through its affiliate Agunsa Universales S.A. (AGUNSA USA), which consolidates the group’s port, logistics, and towage activities.

Florida International Terminal is located in Port Everglades, South Florida, and serves one of the world’s largest consumer markets. The terminal handles container and general cargo and offers direct access to highway and rail networks, supporting efficient inland and intermodal transport.

Hanseatic Global Terminals operates as an independent company within the Hapag-Lloyd Group. Founded in 2023, the terminal operator focuses on ports and infrastructure and plans to expand its portfolio from 21 terminals today to around 30 worldwide by 2030.
