Goltens Worldwide and IPCO Power have signed a strategic collaboration to help shipowners optimize fuel operations and improve sustainability.

The partnership combines IPCO Power’s fuel homogenization technology with Goltens’ global engineering and service capabilities. Together, they offer a fully integrated solution, covering 3D scanning, technical design, installation, commissioning, and long-term lifecycle support.

“Clients increasingly want complete packages, not just equipment,” said Bart Sluimer, Managing Director of IPCO Power. “Through our partnership with Goltens, we can deliver full-scope projects worldwide that fully unburden the customer.”

IPCO Power’s core technology, a rotor-stator homogenizer, reduces fuel droplet sizes to below 3 microns, improving fuel performance. Benefits include:

  • Up to 80% sludge reduction before separators

  • Up to 2.5% fuel savings

  • Enhanced fuel stability during storage

  • Onboard blending of multiple fuel types, including biofuels

  • Water-in-fuel emulsification for emission reduction

By combining these capabilities with Goltens’ expertise in retrofits and turnkey projects, the collaboration provides practical, scalable solutions for efficiency and compliance — especially for existing vessels.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to helping shipowners tackle efficiency and decarbonization,” said Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide. “Together, we deliver solutions that reduce costs, improve fuel flexibility, and support the transition to cleaner operations.”
