GEODIS has rolled out a new road transport service to help businesses move goods across Southern Africa. The service, which started in July, connects South Africa to ten countries in the region, offering fast and reliable logistics solutions.
The Johannesburg hub acts as the core of the operation. From there, GEODIS provides flexible options for both full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments. Customers can benefit from predefined transit schedules, scalable capacity, and tailored routing to suit their specific needs.
The service covers Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Key cities include Luanda, Gaborone, Lubumbashi, Mbabane, Maseru, Blantyre, Lilongwe, Maputo, Windhoek, Lusaka, Ndola, Harare, and Bulawayo.
“Cross-border logistics in Africa can be challenging,” said Cobus Fourie, Managing Director at GEODIS South Africa. “This service aims to ensure a seamless flow of cargo from origin to destination, backed by our regional expertise and infrastructure.”
The move strengthens GEODIS’ footprint in Africa and reflects its commitment to improving supply chain performance and supporting trade across the continent.
