With the two-month countdown due this week, the third edition of Geneva Dry, the world’s premier commodities shipping conference, is selling tickets at a brisk pace as the dry bulk industry takes note of this year’s stellar line-up on stage.
New confirmed speakers include Angad Banga, the newly minted CEO at Hong Kong’s Caravel Group, part of very strong delegation coming from China’s Special Administrative Region.
Costas Delaportas, president and CEO of Greek shipowner Drydel Shipping, will also be speaking at Geneva Dry, as is Eduardo Luz, the director of global shipping and logistics at Vale Base Metals.
Organisers are also delighted to announce the creation of a bonus workshop due to take place on the morning of April 28, ahead of the official conference opening.
The Digital Dry Hard Talk specialist workshop will be on a first-come, first-served basis on the ground floor at the Hotel President Wilson. Moderated by maritime digital expert Neville Smith, the director of Mariner Communications, the session will aim to go beyond the sea of solutions, buzzwords, and bold promises to assess what’s actually delivering results and what’s falling short in the world of digital.
Carlos Pena, CEO of Monaco shipping major CTM will be on the panel, alongside Christoffer Svard, CCO of chartering platform Sea, Friederike Hesse, managing director of decarbonisation specialist ZERO44, Sanjay Kapoor, CEO of voyage management firm GeoServe, and Stephen Fletcher, the CCO of maritime data giant AXSMarine.

Held at the Hotel President Wilson on the shore of Lake Geneva on April 28 and 29, the world’s premier commodities shipping conference is readying for its most high calibre gathering to date with organisers anticipating up to 900 delegate signups.
The two-day event now boasts more than 50 sponsors, with around 200 companies confirmed attending.
Following a welcome address by Delphine Bachmann, State Councillor in charge of the canton’s Department of Economy and Employment (DEE), the 2026 version of Geneva Dry opens with the Commodities Shipping Outlook and is followed by a risk management session then a special looking at AI, digitalisation and the dry bulk workforce, before closing out day one with the always popular hour devoted to the future of fixing. Day two starts with a digital drivers panel – with input coming from the outcome of the workshop the day prior – before moving onto the dry decarbonisation session, at which point the conference closes out with cargo-specific panels on minor bulks, agri-commodities, coal and iron ore.
