Oslo-based offshore accommodation vessel specialist Floatel International has won a contract for work in the North Sea.
The company stated that the contract was given to the 2010-built Floatel Superior following a letter of intent. The client was left undisclosed.
Work under the contract will be done in the North Sea during the summer of 2026. It will last for three months with one more month as an extension option.
The available option period may be extended depending on the start date for the Aker BP Yggdrasil charter.
The Floatel Superior and the 2015-built Floatel Endurance were hired back in December 2022 for work on the NOAKA project – now named Yggdrasil.
The company said at the time that the two vessels are scheduled to begin accommodation services in mid-2026, with firm hire periods of seven and 10 months, respectively. The agreement also includes several extension options.
