Fincantieri has signed a major agreement with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for the construction of three next-generation cruise ships. The deal further strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two groups. Its value is described as very significant and remains subject to financing and standard conditions.

The vessels will be built for three brands within the group. One ship will be for Norwegian Cruise Line. One will be for Oceania Cruises. One will be for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Each will be a sister ship to the latest vessels already delivered by Fincantieri for these brands.

All three ships will be built at Fincantieri’s Italian shipyards. Deliveries are scheduled between 2036 and 2037. The vessels will feature advanced technologies, high comfort standards, and strong environmental sustainability solutions.

The Norwegian Cruise Line ship will be the largest. It will measure about 227,000 gross tons and offer more than 5,000 berths. The Regent Seven Seas Cruises vessel will have around 77,000 gross tons and about 822 berths, targeting the ultra-luxury segment. The Oceania Cruises ship will have about 86,000 gross tons and around 1,390 berths.

Fincantieri CEO Pierroberto Folgiero said the order reinforces the group’s leadership in cruise shipbuilding. He added that the project aligns with the company’s 2026–2030 Industrial Plan, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth. The agreement also secures workload for Fincantieri’s shipyards through 2037 and supports future investments in capacity, digitalisation, and sustainable shipbuilding.
