Norwegian offshore vessel owner Havila Shipping has secured a one-year contract extension for one of its platform suppliers (PSV) from compatriot energy major Equinor.
Havila revealed that Equinor exercised an option for the 2012-built Havila Charisma until December 2026.
When the option expires, Equinor will have one more one-year option thereafter, until December 2027.
The vessel has been contracted to Equinor since delivery and was upgraded with battery packages and shore power equipment in 2018.
Apart from the Havila Charisma, the company owns five more platform suppliers. In total, the Norwegian firm has a fleet of nine vessels.
