EcoNavis Solutions has partnered with Greece-based Franman to bring its Eco Boss Cap technology to Greek shipping, including Cyprus and Greek-owned fleets worldwide. The deal opens one of the world’s largest commercial shipping fleets to the energy-saving device.
The Eco Boss Cap fits onto a vessel’s propeller hub. It improves propulsion efficiency, reduces hub vortex cavitation, and optimizes water flow. The system cuts fuel use and CO₂ emissions by 3–5%, helping shipowners operate more sustainably.
Dr. Batuhan Aktas, EcoNavis Managing Director, said Franman’s network and expertise make it the perfect partner for the region. Franman CEO Costis Frangoulis added the technology offers a simple way to save fuel, cut emissions, and reduce costs.
Franman represents over 200 manufacturers and has equipped more than 5,500 ships. The partnership may also expand Eco Boss Cap sales to other European markets.
The collaboration aims to speed up adoption in the region and support shipowners in reaching decarbonisation targets without losing efficiency.
