Damen has adapted its Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 2710 for oil and gas operations. The vessel, widely used in offshore wind, is now ready to transfer up to 100 personnel plus crew.
The FCS 2710 sails up to 1,200 nautical miles and reaches 25 knots. Damen says it offers a faster, safer, and cheaper option than helicopters.
For oil and gas use, the vessel comes with strong fendering and a hydraulic gangway. These features allow safe push-on connections and transfers at different platform heights.
Safety runs through the design. The wheelhouse offers 360-degree views. The deck is flat, spacious, and free of obstacles.
The Twin Axe bow improves seakeeping and cuts fuel use and emissions by 20%. The vessel also meets IMO Tier III rules with Damen’s NOx reduction system.
Damen has several units in stock. It expects modifications for oil and gas to take only a few weeks.
