New Facilities Drive Growth and Integration
DACHSER Food Logistics continues its European expansion with new branches in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands, and Parma, Italy. Both sites strengthen DACHSER’s position in key logistics regions and enhance the company’s integrated European network.
Waddinxveen: All Services Under One Roof
The new 17,000-pallet facility in Waddinxveen, near Rotterdam, includes three temperature zones—ambient, chilled, and frozen. Located within the Rotterdam Logistics Center, it brings together DACHSER’s full service portfolio: European and Food Logistics, contract logistics, and Air & Sea services. The site also houses a Container Freight Station for global sea freight exports.
“Waddinxveen is a prime example of how we can offer customers logistics for Europe and the world from one location,” said Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at DACHSER.
According to Stefan Behrendt, Managing Director DACHSER Food Logistics, the site consolidates all services from Müller Fresh Food Logistics and Frigoscandia under the DACHSER brand for the first time in the Netherlands.
Parma: Strengthening Italy’s Food Valley
DACHSER also opened a 12,200-square-meter facility in Parma, including 2,000 square meters of refrigerated space. Located at the DACHSER & Fercam Italia branch, this is the company’s first joint site in Italy since the 2024 integration of Fercam’s operations. The facility provides general cargo food transport and temperature-controlled warehousing, serving one of Italy’s leading food export regions.
