CyberLogitec has signed an agreement with BNCT, operator of Busan New Port Terminal 5, to deploy an AI-based port safety monitoring system. The system will reduce collision risks between mobile equipment and personnel during terminal operations.

The project aims to strengthen preventive safety by continuously monitoring operational risks in real time. It allows proactive intervention before incidents occur. The goal is a 24/7, accident-free operating environment.

BNCT reviewed alternatives to traditional, incident-driven safety practices. The decision to adopt CyberLogitec’s platform follows recent accidents at Korean and international terminals. Intelligent, predictive safety systems are now seen as essential.

CyberLogitec’s platform combines AI video analytics, high-precision positioning, and digital twin technology. It delivers real-time situational awareness across the terminal. Data from workers, vehicles, and traffic flows is integrated into a single monitoring environment. Hazards are detected early, and alerts are sent immediately via control dashboards and on-board terminals.

The system uses RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning to track mobile equipment with centimetre-level accuracy. AI CCTV analyzes operational scenes continuously to assess risks. When a hazard is detected, warnings go directly to operators via vehicle-mounted terminals.

RTK devices will cover 70 mobile assets. AI-enabled CCTV cameras will be installed on 14 STS cranes. The system is scheduled for full operation in August 2026.

A CyberLogitec spokesperson said the project marks “a shift from reactive safety management to a predictive, data-driven model.” The company plans to expand AI and digital twin smart port solutions to improve both safety and efficiency globally.
