COSCO Shipping has officially launched a direct asphalt shipping route connecting China and New Zealand. The first vessel on the route, RONG HUA WAN, is powered by biofuel and sailed fully loaded with premium-grade asphalt, reflecting the company’s commitment to more sustainable shipping.

The operation was completed efficiently, with vessel preparations, berthing, and departure finalized in just 25 hours. All procedures were conducted in full compliance with New Zealand standards, ensuring safety and quality throughout.

COSCO Shipping thanked all teams involved for their coordination and effort in making the new route a reality, marking a significant step in expanding its sustainable and efficient shipping services between China and New Zealand.
