COFC Logistics and BNSF Railway are joining forces to expand COFC’s container program across North America, now reaching the eastern U.S. and Mexico.
The move gives intermodal marketing companies (IMCs) more container access and flexibility. It also strengthens COFC’s footprint, connecting more markets for asset-light partners.
The expanded service covers key Northeast and Southeast U.S. markets. It also opens access to Monterrey, Mexico, through a partnership with GMXT. The goal is to provide greater capacity, more routing options, and scalable intermodal solutions for growing supply chains.
“This expansion empowers IMCs to compete and grow,” said Jonathan Mulch, COFC Logistics VP of Sales and Marketing. “Our partners can now access a broader network with the confidence that COFC’s reliable service and operational expertise will support their growth.”
Jon Gabriel, BNSF Group VP of Consumer Products, added: “We’re not just adding lanes—we’re adding opportunity to the supply chain. These additions expand the reach and capacity of our intermodal network for the IMC community.”
Luis Hernandez, GMXT VP of Intermodal, said the partnership will help meet growing market demand. “We’re ready to provide top-tier service to handle cargo efficiently and reliably.”
The expanded offering includes seven new ramp pairs, more containers, and optimized schedules designed specifically for non-asset IMCs. More expansions are expected in the future.
