CMA CGM removes Algeciras call from Euraf1 service

CMA CGM has revised its Europe–West Africa (Euraf1) service, removing the southbound call to Algeciras. This adjustment reflects ongoing efforts to optimize transit times and improve operational efficiency across the service.

The updated rotation now follows the sequence: London (Tilbury) → Dunkirk → Antwerp → Flushing → Le Havre → Montoir → Tangier → Dakar → Abidjan → Dakar → London. Ships will no longer dock at Algeciras on the southbound leg, although the rest of the itinerary remains unchanged.

The change may affect shippers and logistics providers that previously relied on Algeciras as a transshipment point for cargo bound for West Africa. CMA CGM continues to offer frequent sailings between Europe and West Africa, with ports like Tangier, Dakar, and Abidjan serving as the primary gateways for goods moving along this trade lane.

This revision is part of CMA CGM’s broader strategy to streamline operations, reduce port stay times, and enhance schedule reliability across its European and African networks. Shippers are advised to review their bookings and transit plans in light of the updated service rotation.
