CMA CGM announces port charges in US East Coast and US Gulf

CMA CGM has informed its customers of upcoming changes to local port charges at various US East Coast and US Gulf ports. These new charges will take effect starting 11 October 2024 and will remain in place until further notice.

The new Local Port Charge at Origin (LPC01) will apply to shipments departing from the US East Coast and US Gulf to all global destinations.

The charges will affect Dry, Reefer, and Special Equipment cargo, with the following rates: US$800 per 20-foot container, US$1,000 per 40-foot container, and US$1,266 per 45-foot container for Dry and Tank cargo.

For Reefer and Special Equipment, including In Gauge/Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo, the rates will be US$1,000 per 20-foot container and US$1,500 per 40-foot container.

Additionally, CMA CGM has announced a Local Port Charge at Destination (LPC51), which will apply to all cargo arriving at the US East Coast and US Gulf ports from any origin.

The rate for this charge will be US$1,500 per container.
