Circle S.p.A., an innovative SME listed on Euronext Growth Milan, has kicked off a major project to digitalize inland intermodal terminals in Southern Europe. The initial contract, valued at around €300,000, marks the first deployment of the company’s MILOS® Terminal Operating System (TOS) at a strategically important terminal.

The project aims to optimise operational and digital management across all land intermodality activities. It is the first step in a broader program under a framework agreement to modernize selected terminals critical to the national and Mediterranean supply chain.

MILOS® TOS, a key component of Circle Group’s technology platform, enables integrated control of yard operations, load unit handling, resource management, and process automation. Features include operational planning, real-time tracking of intermodal units, workforce and vehicle optimisation, interoperability with third-party systems, and digital document management.

The system will integrate seamlessly with the terminal’s existing ICT infrastructure and interact with other functional modules using a scalable, modular architecture. Technology partners such as Aitek and eXyond will support the construction of a dynamic digital ecosystem for the terminal.

Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, said, “We are proud to support the digitalisation of such an important intermodal hub. MILOS® TOS has already proven its effectiveness in ports and inland terminals across Europe and will continue to enable the logistics hubs of the future, in line with our ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth’ plan.”
