By 2027, major Chinese container ports will have intermodal facilities, under a new “One Port, One Policy” unveiled by China’s State Council in late September.
The government expects that by 2027, there will be 15% annual growth in the volume of containers transported through China in sea-rail combinations.
This year, 15 million TEU of containers are expected to be transported through China using intermodal transport.
