Cavotec has signed a new order worth approximately EUR 2 million for its MoorMaster NxG automated vacuum mooring systems with Danish ferry operator Molslinjen A/S, further strengthening its position in sustainable maritime technologies.
The systems will be installed at the ports of Odden and Aarhus, where they will support the operation of high-capacity, battery-powered catamarans serving one of Denmark’s busiest ferry routes. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.
MoorMaster NxG will fully automate vessel mooring and keep the electric ferries precisely positioned during port calls. This allows for fast and reliable shore connections, enabling efficient battery charging and supporting the wider rollout of decarbonised ferry operations in line with Denmark’s green transport ambitions.

The agreement expands Cavotec’s long-standing partnership with Molslinjen. MoorMaster systems are already in operation at several Danish ferry terminals, including Ballen, Kalundborg, Spodsbjerg, Taars, Bøjden and Fynshav, underscoring the growing role of automated mooring in Denmark’s ferry network.
