C.H. Robinson has launched a new Asset Management System (AMS) within its Drop Trailer Plus
program, giving shippers greater control, visibility, and efficiency.
Firstly, the system uses GPS tracking and real-time operational data to turn thousands of trailers into connected, intelligent assets. Linked with the company’s AI-driven Navisphere platform, AMS helps customers make faster and more cost-efficient decisions.
In addition, with more than 10,000 trailers in circulation daily and 800,000 annual shipments, C.H. Robinson operates one of the largest drop trailer programs in the U.S. The new system adds data-driven insights and end-to-end visibility unmatched in the market.

Also, traditional drop trailer programs often rely on manual tracking and limited data. AMS replaces that with an integrated, automated platform combining GPS, telematics, and geofencing to monitor every trailer across Robinson’s fleet and its contract carriers.
