Offshore jackup rig player Borr Drilling has chosen Bruno Morand as the successor to the chief executive officer role.
Morand will succeed current CEO Patrick Schorn, effective September 1. The decision is part of the company’s multi-year succession planning process.
Morand, who has served as the CCO at the company since 2023, is a 20-year veteran of the offshore drilling industry, having held management positions with international rig contractors. He originally joined Borr in 2017.
Jason Crowe will succeed Morand as SVP of commercial, while all other members of the leadership team remain unchanged.
At the time of the transition, Schorn, the current CEO, will become the executive chairman of the company’s board of directors, while the incumbent chairman, Tor Olav Trøim, will continue to serve as a director of the board.
Additionally, current director Dan Rabun, the former CEO and chairman of Ensco, will become the lead independent director.
