Global towing services provider Boluda Towage has announced the acquisition of Yxpila Hinaus-Bogsering (YHB), a family-owned company that has been operating for over 40 years in the Finnish port of Kokkola, offering harbour towage and icebreaking services. YHB brings to Boluda Towage its experience at the forefront of towing operations in the extreme conditions of the Baltic Sea, where ice and low temperatures demand the knowledge and expertise of skilled crews for safe and efficient maneuvers. With this acquisition, Boluda Towage aims to further strengthen its presence on the coasts of Northern Europe and enter the Scandinavian market, serving its customers in the Gulf of Bothnia across the ports of Kokkola, Vaasa, Raahe, and Kemi. Boluda Towage will add six vessels to its fleet, five of which are icebreakers.
