BBC Chartering has officially opened a new office in Madrid, Spain, effective 1 September 2025, to enhance its service capabilities across Spain and Portugal. The move strengthens the company’s presence in the Iberian market, a key region with approximately 140–160 annual port calls.

The Madrid office will be led by Jorge Vicente De Vera as Managing Director, bringing 14 years of leadership experience in breakbulk and project cargo. Alfredo José Byrne Bernui joins as Chartering Broker, with over 15 years in the industry working with both freight forwarders and carriers.

BBC Chartering will continue operations in Bilbao under Lia Magalhaes, who has been serving the Spanish market since 2019, ensuring continuity in client support and service excellence. The new Madrid office underscores BBC Chartering’s commitment to delivering reliable, flexible transport solutions and enhancing local expertise for the Iberian market.

Jorge Vicente De Vera will be heading BBC Chartering Iberia in Madrid.
