Norwegian offshore contractor Aker Solutions has secured a new six-year maintenance and modification (M&M) frame agreement with ConocoPhillips Skandinavia to service the ageing Eldfisk field and Ekofisk field platforms on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The pact, which can be extended twice for additional three-year periods, begins in January 2027.
The contract covers brownfield maintenance and upgrades across the two fields — considered among the largest M&M portfolios in Norwegian offshore operations — with project management handled from Aker Solutions’ Stavanger office and fabrication work at its Egersund yard. Offshore teams will carry out much of the execution work.
Aker classifies the award as “substantial,” a term the company uses for contracts between NOK2.5bn and NOK4bn — equivalent to roughly $245–393m, depending on scope and workload over the term.
Paal Eikeseth, executive vice president and head of the life cycle business at Aker Solutions, said the deal reflects the firm’s commitment to standardized, efficient workflows — “executed with speed and precision,” he said — while maintaining safety. He added that the company expects to deliver consistent support and stability over the years to come.
The win follows Aker Solutions’ five-year extension for brownfield maintenance and modification services on the Hebron platform with ExxonMobil’s Canadian arm.
