AD Ports Group has begun deploying Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services across its global fleet and terminals, marking a major step in its digital transformation strategy.
The rollout will deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity, enabling real-time vessel tracking, predictive maintenance, dynamic route optimisation, and automated cargo monitoring. Several of the Group’s 270 vessels are already equipped with the new service, with terminals next in line.
“LEO satellite connectivity is the backbone that unlocks the full potential of our technology ecosystem,” said Mohamed Jamal-Eddine, Group Chief Information Officer. “It allows us to maintain business continuity in remote areas, optimise fuel use, and build a connected supply chain that provides customers with unmatched visibility and control.”
The deployment extends to AD Ports Group’s network of 34 terminals across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central and Southwest Asia. The technology will support smarter port operations, emergency response coordination, and continuous communications, even in challenging locations.
The move underlines AD Ports Group’s push toward digital innovation and sustainability, positioning it as a leader in connected maritime and logistics infrastructure.
