Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL Group) and ICG have announced the completion of ABL’s acquisition of 100% of SCF Containers, a leading provider of tailored shipping container solutions across Australia and New Zealand. SCF offers a wide range of intermodal, tank, and on-site storage containers.

The acquisition strengthens ABL’s footprint in Australia and supports its strategy to expand beyond energy commodities into retail, consumer goods, construction, and chemicals. It follows ABL’s earlier purchases of One Rail Australia in 2023 and Transshipment Service Australia in 2025.

SCF operates nationally with locations in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Darwin, and Townsville. Its offerings include container rental, sales, design, maintenance, refrigerated containers, tank units, and site sheds.

ABL President Director Ika Heru Beth Ari said the acquisition “enables accelerated growth, expands market reach, and strengthens competitiveness.” ICG Managing Director James Giannas praised SCF’s progress and called ABL the “ideal partner for the next chapter.”

SCF CEO Justin Speedy added, “Joining ABL allows us to accelerate growth and continue delivering innovative, sustainable solutions. Business will continue as usual for our customers during this transition.”
