Copenhagen-headquartered offshore wind vessels player Cadeler has inked a firm deal with ScottishPower Renewables to transport and install wind turbine generators and foundations for the East Anglia Two project off the coast of the UK.

The BW Group and Scorpio-backed owner and operator said the contract is worth between €360m ($392m) and €382m ($416m), with work set to start in 2027, utilising one of the company’s newbuild A-class units together with an O-class vessel from Cadeler’s existing fleet.

The East Anglia Two wind farm will be located in the southern region of the North Sea, off the East Coast of England, and is expected to feature 64 turbines with a capacity of 15 MW each, delivering power equivalent to almost 1m homes each year.

“The East Anglia TWO project reinforces Cadeler’s strong position as a full-service T&I provider in the foundations space and our pivotal role in driving the transition to renewable offshore wind energy,” said Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, adding: “With our six newbuilds on their way, Cadeler will deliver even greater flexibility and offer still improved efficiency for our clients, with solutions for even more complex projects.”

The contract follows a vessel reservation agreement worth up to $760m that Cadeler signed with an undisclosed client in May this year.
