Indian offshore vessel operator Seamec has secured a charter extension from compatriot government-owned oil and gas company ONGC.
ONGC gave more time to the 1982-built diving support vessel Seamec II. The extension has started on Monday and will last until August 25, 2026.
Although not disclosed, all existing terms and conditions remain unchanged from the previous deal. The vessel was deployed on its previous extension on September 9, 2025.
According to the company, the contract extension for the 44-year-old vessel secures continued vessel deployment and revenue visibility for Seamec in its core offshore services segment.
Seamec added that the extension also reinforces the company’s “operational relationship with ONGC and underscores the sustained demand for its marine assets in the Indian offshore energy market”.
