DHL Group has opened its permanent Middle East & Africa (MEA) Innovation Center in Dubai South. At the same time, DHL Supply Chain confirmed a €120 million investment in a new multi-user contract logistics warehouse nearby.
The Innovation Center becomes DHL’s regional hub for testing, developing and scaling logistics solutions. It can host up to 120 participants and brings together customers, partners, startups and academics. It is one of only four DHL Innovation Centers worldwide.
DHL Supply Chain will build a 55,000-square-meter warehouse on a 96,000-square-meter site under a 38-year lease. The facility will operate carbon-neutral and support customers across multiple industries. Construction will begin in early 2026, with completion planned for summer 2027.
The new site is located in Dubai South, close to Al Maktoum International Airport. DHL said the location will strengthen trade flows between Asia, Europe and Africa and reduce customer lead times.
The warehouse will handle high-value cargo under strict safety and security standards. DHL aims to deliver fully net-zero warehousing operations at the site.
The two projects reinforce DHL’s expansion in the Middle East. Earlier this year, the Group committed €500 million to the Middle East and €300 million to Sub-Saharan Africa.
DHL said the goal is to integrate innovation directly with operations and provide customers with faster, greener supply chain solutions from a central regional hub.
