Anglo-Eastern Ship Management has partnered with Orca AI to install AI-powered navigation across its managed fleet of more than 750 vessels. The collaboration makes Anglo-Eastern the first major ship manager to adopt AI-driven situational awareness on such a large scale.
The Orca AI platform includes the SeaPod digital watchkeeper, which enhances situational awareness in congested or low-visibility waters, and FleetView, a shoreside tool providing actionable insights for office teams.
Torbjorn Dimblad, CIO of Anglo-Eastern, said the platform adds a critical layer of safety. It reduces workload, issues alerts, and supports data-driven decision-making. He emphasized that the partnership aligns with Anglo-Eastern’s commitment to innovation, crew upskilling, and operational efficiency.
Orca AI CEO Yarden Gross said the partnership extends Orca AI’s reach from shipowners to ship managers with large, multi-client fleets. He called Anglo-Eastern’s adoption a strong endorsement of AI technology and a signal that AI will drive safe, efficient, and sustainable shipping.
