Uber Freight announced an expanded commercial partnership with Better Trucks, a leading last-mile delivery platform serving major retail and e-commerce brands. The collaboration includes a strategic investment that will significantly enhance Uber Freight’s last-mile offering, enabling customers to deliver directly from stores or fulfillment centers to consumers’ doorsteps with greater speed, reliability, and real-time visibility.

This partnership further accelerates the growth of Uber Freight’s End-to-End Logistics—a flexible, tech-driven solution covering every stage from first-mile procurement to final delivery.

Strengthening Uber’s Broader Last-Mile Strategy

The enhanced partnership aligns with Uber’s wider last-mile ecosystem, which includes Uber Eats, Uber Direct, and Uber Freight, positioning the company as a uniquely integrated global delivery platform.

Better Trucks Technology Now Powering Uber Freight

Better Trucks’ infrastructure adds meaningful new capabilities to Uber Freight’s asset-light network, including:

Connected Technology Integration

  • Open API architecture connecting with 50+ logistics and e-commerce platforms

  • Seamless data synchronization across the Uber Freight network

Advanced Sortation Network

  • Technology enabling Uber Freight to optimize operations across seven sortation centers

  • Expanded coverage and greater operational efficiency

Address Validation & Geocoding

  • Improved accuracy in address verification

  • Optimized routing for faster and more reliable deliveries

With the added capacity from Better Trucks, Uber Freight’s network now spans approximately 68% of the U.S. population, enhancing transparency, consistency, and cost efficiency.

A Growing Market Opportunity

The U.S. last-mile parcel market is rapidly evolving due to the surge in e-commerce and rising consumer expectations. With this partnership, Uber Freight strengthens its positioning as a full supply-chain orchestrator, leveraging multimodal density to reduce cost and complexity for shippers—advantages most last-mile competitors cannot match.

Leadership Commentary

“This strategic investment will immediately enhance our delivery solutions for shippers,” said Rebecca Tinucci, CEO of Uber Freight. “Better Trucks’ tech-driven model and expanding network enable us to deliver unmatched speed and flexibility.”

“This partnership brings new scale and opportunity to what we have always done,” added Andy Whiting, Co-Founder and CEO of Better Trucks. “We share a vision for a more intelligent and efficient logistics network.”

Supporting Shippers Ahead of Peak Season

The expanded partnership comes as retailers prepare for the peak holiday season. Early adopters of Uber Freight’s End-to-End Logistics solution have already seen improvements in delivery cost, first-attempt success rates, and consumer satisfaction—particularly in dense urban and suburban markets.
