Offshore accommodation vessel specialist Prosafe has named Reese McNeel as its permanent chief executive officer.
McNeel has been the interim chief executive officer since September 1, following the resignation of the previous CEO Terje Askvig.
During his time as interim CEO, he also continued working as the company’s chief financial officer. He has been the company’s CFO since August 2022.
Now that McNeel’s position as chief executive has become permanent, the company will start looking for a new CFO. He will continue performing both duties until a successor is appointed.
Reese has more than 20 years of leadership experience from the offshore energy industry and publicly listed companies, including executive management and CEO level tenure at Atlantica Tender Drilling and Sevan Marine.
“Since assuming the interim role, Reese has already demonstrated decisive leadership and, with the support of the board, initiated a significant transformation of the company […] positioning Prosafe for long-term success and value creation for shareholders,” said Carey Lowe, Chairman of Prosafe.
