The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has denied reports that it detained the vessel DIGNITY at Suez Port.
SCA confirmed that it has no involvement in the dispute, which is strictly between Sphinx Shipping Agency and the vessel’s owning company over unpaid financial dues.
The Ismailia Economic Court issued judicial order No. 45 of 2025, placing a conservatory attachment on the vessel and ordering its detention at the Suez Port anchorage until the dues are fully paid.
SCA urges media outlets to verify information before publication and to rely on official SCA sources. The Authority stressed that rumors causing confusion or doubt about its operations are false.
