Under the cranes of the new Rijeka Gateway, the region’s most modern and sustainable container terminal officially opened.
More than 300 guests, including government officials, business leaders, and media representatives, attended the event. Among them were Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, APM Terminals CEO Keith Svendsen, and ENNA Group President Boštjan Napast, who jointly marked the opening with a symbolic press of a button, echoed by a ship’s horn.
Historic Investment and Partnership
Built through a partnership between APM Terminals and ENNA Group, the €380 million project represents Croatia’s largest private logistics infrastructure investment. It stands as a key milestone in strengthening European trade resilience and promoting sustainable growth across the Adriatic.

In just two years, the site transformed into a world-class terminal featuring:
