Kuehne+Nagel is expanding its fulfilment network in India with five new centres across Gurgaon, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Rajpura, adding 100,000 sqm of capacity. The move increases its total footprint in the country to nearly 500,000 sqm and will create over 1,500 new jobs.
India’s fast-growing economy and rising demand across high-tech, automotive, consumer goods, and healthcare sectors are driving the need for scalable logistics solutions. The new fulfilment centres feature advanced automation, including telescopic conveyors and high-performance sorting systems, boosting peak order handling by 75%.
The expansion spans tier-1 to tier-3 cities, aligning with India’s industrial growth strategy. Gurgaon and Nagpur continue to emerge as key industry hubs, while Rajpura is gaining prominence in manufacturing and distribution.
“India is a key growth market for Kuehne+Nagel,” said Damian Raczynski, Senior Vice President, Contract Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific. “We invest where our customers are — and this expansion strengthens our ability to serve high-demand sectors like consumer and healthcare with speed, reliability, and flexibility.”
