Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has won two long-term contracts in Brazil with state-owned oil firm Petrobras.
Petrobras hired the 2005-built Skandi Chieftain and the 2009-built Skandi Olympia on a four-year contract. The two contracts have a combined value of approximately $200m.
Both vessels will operate with one work-class ROV and are expected to start work in October 2026. The vessels are currently on hire with Petrobras under a three-year deal.
According to DOF, the contracts for the two vessels were won following the same competitive tender process that resulted in the contract awards for the Skandi Achiever, Skandi Carla, Geoholm, and Skandi Salvador.
