While attention focuses on China’s COSCO facing a devastating $1.53 billion in US port fees by 2026, three major international carriers Israeli ZIM, Japanese ONE, and French CMA CGM confront their own crisis: a combined US$1.2 billion in potential charges that could fundamentally reshape their competitive strategies.

According to Alphaliner analysis, if these carriers maintain current fleet deployments, ZIM faces $510 million in fees, ONE $363 million, and CMA CGM $335 million when Washington’s controversial measures take full effect.
